SP Global Inc. proudly announces that one of its companies, GlobalFlyte, has been awarded a Phase 1 SBIR from AFRL and AFWERX. “By being awarded this Phase 1 SBIR, it provides additional validation for SP Global Inc.’s Transformative Corporate Formation (TCF) commercialization model. TCF starts with entrepreneurial Systems Engineering (eSys) a business Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and associated Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that uniquely fills an addressable market need. SPG staffs these transformative companies with seasoned leadership teams mitigating the risk of the launch through experienced based lean/agile techniques to rapidly go-to-market”, stated Tim Shaw, Vice President, Midwest Operations, SP Global, Inc. “The SP Global Inc. team is exceptionally proud of all that GlobalFlyte has accomplished in just 24 months utilizing the TCF methodology,” he added.
“GlobalFlyte has made enormous strides over the past year, we are in commercial sales and have been awarded this Phase I SBIR to begin to realize our goal of adapting GlobalFlyte to fit the needs of the war fighter. While we continue to build upon the GlobalFlyte solution for our first responder community, we are also working within many branches of the Department of Defense to offer them a very similar set of incident command tools,” said Jim Gruenberg, GlobalFlyte’s Chief Mission Officer.
AFRL and AFWERX jointly issued this statement, “AFRL and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research process in an attempt to speed up the experience, broaden the pool of potential applicants and decrease bureaucratic overhead. Beginning in SIBR 18.2, and now 18.3, the Air force has begun offering “Special” SBIR topics that are faster, leaner and open to a broader range of innovations.”
GlobalFlyte looks forward to working with ARFL and AFWERX on this exciting new special SBIR topic area and to bringing GlobalFlyte to the Department of Defense and to other governmental agencies.
