GlobalFlyte, a BIG HIT during the National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio

The GlobalFlyte Team joined over 1,700 County Officials from all over the United States on July 21-23 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center for NACo’s Annual Conference and Exposition.  GlobalFlyte gave a well-attended “County Talk” on Friday evening and presented to the NACo Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Committee on Saturday morning.  The team also worked from an exhibit booth during the weekend.  “Our booth was a huge hit because we had a Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) or drone on display and we were one of the only exhibitors that could showcase actual technologies (referring to GlobalFlyte’s Multi-Modal Communication (MMC) and MinuteMan) for attendees.  Watching their faces light up as they listened to the spatial separation of MMC was very gratifying,” said Tim Shaw, GlobalFlyte COO.

GlobalFlyte combines communication technologies developed by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), integrated with commercially developed mapping, imaging and smartphone technologies, to create a unique robust situational awareness solution for teams responding to emergency and crisis incidents. GlobalFlyte’s solutions: Multi-Modal Communication (MMC), MinuteMan, Response Map and Focused Area Metric Image System (FAMIS) all provide first responders with actionable real-time intelligence, provided in a versatile, customizable platform that dramatically improves comprehension and overall situational awareness to protect lives and property.  In addition, there is no need for the agencies or departments to purchase any new equipment, GlobalFlyte’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution fits into any radio system or display terminal already in use.

“The validation we received from the many visitors to our booth and the caliber of the questions and interest we were fielding shows the commitment that our county officials feel toward public safety.  We are excited to begin visiting individual counties and demonstrating, first hand, the capability of the GlobalFlyte suite of technologies,” said Roger Mann, GlobalFlyte, CEO.
